A few things.... you can run this on top of HTC Home Diamond like my previous jogwheel theme. But the stock background wont be there. You can put it in manually, but you need to find it in the windows folder. It should be called "backgroundoflife.png" this method is only used to get the flat black start bar, but it is not ideal.
OR you can manually do this regedit.... its worth it, and i would have included it in the .cab, but my cab maker wont allow me to make multiple string registry entry. Its not a big deal, so just do it.
Code:
HKCU\ControlPanel\Home Then Makedir called "TheHotOven.home.xml" in that directory make a muliplestring with title "COLOR_SOFTKEYBTNTEXT" and value "FF FF FF 00" then make another multiplestring titled "Color_SoftkeyFlatCenter" with value "00 00 00 00" Finally, make another multistring titled "Color_TitleFlatCenter" with value "00 00 00 00"
after a restart you will be golden when you select "The Hot MF Oven" homescreen.
I've also included a file in there for the background of the Most Recently Used screen, and Start Menu. The reason i didnt put the registry change into the .cab is this:
IF you do decide to put the registry entry in, you'll get the screens to look cool. BUT if you uninstall this theme without changing the registry entry back to what it was you wont be able to access the MRU screen or Start Menu. The fix for this is easy though, and you simply open up activesync or whatever and put a copy of the picture "WhiteFractal.jpg" into the windows folder. All the sudden you will be able to get back into the start menu. Now change the registry entry back to whatever picture you want, or whatever was there before.
The alternative method would be to rename this picture to something else, and then change the registry entry to that. That way when you uninstall the theme, it wont uninstall the picture. With this method you wont even have to worry about problems, and will have learned a little bit about themeing.
Code:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Shell\Rai\:MSMRULauncher and change the value of BKBitmapFile to "\Windows\WhiteFractal.jpg" next go back, but while still in Rai, select :MSStart and change the value of BKBitmapFile to "\Windows\WhiteFractal.jpg"
Other than that, I decided to skin only the home screen, so the lock screen etc will remain the same. You can make this install as complicated as you want, or as simple as you want. Either way, im using it because i like it a lot.
