Getting the Freddy Reyes Photo Dialer for Neo

What this does

This program installs an "Photo Dialer" where you can have up to 12 contacts with their pictures and be able to call them or send a Text Message to each one. This version ONLY works on NEO (WM6.0).

What it Contains

• Each contact will have a default colored "template photo" and the number +1-555-555-1234 for cell phone
• The Menu adds a Soft Key option to send a Text message to your contact.
• The programs installs by default in the Storage Card
• Note: This Photo Dialer is based on my original Neo Photo Dialer.
• VERY IMPORTANT: If you've already have an older version of the photo dialer, please backup all the files from the "\Storage Card\Program Files\Shadow Photo Dialer\" directory before install. The program will overwrite your contact files. Once installed you can copy your files back your your phone.

Instructions/ Configuration

• Log in to and download the "Photo Dialer" program from Freddy's site. Install it as you would any other cab.
• To customize it go to "\Storage Card\Program Files\Shadow Photo Dialer" on your phone.
• You will see 24 files with the name Dial_Contact(1-12)m.lnk (Mobile) and Dial_Contact(1-12)h.lnk (Text Message).
• Using Total Comander you will need to modify the contact information for each of your contacts:
  • Dial_Contact1m.lnk (Phone Number Option) should have an entry like this:
    • 34#"\Storage Card\Program Files\Shadow Photo Dialer\VJDialer.exe" +1-555-555-1234.
  • and Dial_Contact1h.lnk (Text Message Option) should have an entry like this:
    • 34#"\Windows\tmail.exe" -service "SMS" -to "+1-555-555-1234"
  • Replace +1-555-555-1234 with the contact mobile number for both files: e.g. +1-703-555-1234
  • Now when you click on the contact it will call the number that you defined. If you press the Soft Key (Send SMS) it will open the "Send Text Message" screen and pre-fill the form with your contact's cellphone number; so you can send him/her a message.
• In your PC create your own contact pictures and renamed it to Contact1.jpg, Contact2.jpg....etc. and copy it to the "\Storage Card\Program Files\Shadow Photo Dialer" directory to replace the "template photos" with your own.
• If you have many contacts "Total Commander" maybe is not a good option so I've included a zip file with 24 text files (Dial_Contact(1-12)m.txt and Dial_Contact(1-12)h.txt) so you can edit it on your PC:
  • Dial_Contact1m.txt (Phone Number Option) should have an entry like this:
    • 34#"\Storage Card\Program Files\Shadow Photo Dialer\VJDialer.exe" +1-555-555-1234. Replace +1-555-555-1234 with the contact's phone number.
  • and Dial_Contact1h.txt (Text Message Option) should have an entry like this:
    • 34#"\Windows\tmail.exe" -service "SMS" -to "+1-555-555-1234". Replace "+1-555-555-1234" with the contact's cellphone phone number
  • Rename each file from Dial_Contact(1-12)m.txt to Dial_Contact(1-12)m.lnk and Dial_Contact(1-12)h.txt to Dial_Contact(1-12)h.lnk and keep a backup of those files in case you need them in the future.
  • Copy those files to your "\Storage Card\Program Files\Shadow Photo Dialer" directory
  • Soft reset your phone and the new menu should appear.
