Finding the Windows Folder

For XP:

Whether you need to install a new theme or program or you are editing the graphics on your phone, you need to be able to find your storage card, "My Documents" and /windows folder. Below shows you how to do it with pics!

1) Connect your phone to your pc and let it sync via activesync. Now click on the "Explore" button.
2) What you see after clicking the explore button
3) Click on "My Windows Based." Now you can see the /windows folder, "My Documents" and your storage card. To install a theme or application, drage/ copy it to one of these spots. Find it on your phone and run it (press the circle middle button.)

For Vista:

To enable the viewing of hidden and protected system files in Windows Vista please follow these steps:

  • Close all programs so that you are at your desktop.
  • Click on the Start button.
  • Step 1:Click on the Control Panel menu option.
  • Step 2:When the control panel opens you can either be in Classic View or Control Panel Home view:
  • If you are in the Classic View do the following:
    • Step 3:Double-click on the Folder Options icon.
    • Step 4:Click on the View tab.
    • Go to step 5.
  • If you are in the Control Panel Home view do the following:
    • Step 3:Click on the Appearance and Personalization link.
    • Step 4:Click on Show Hidden Files or Folders.
    • Go to step 5.
  • Step 5:Under the Hidden files and folders section select the circle button labeled Show hidden files and folders.
  • Step 6:Remove the checkmark from the checkbox labeled Hide extensions for known file types.
  • Step 7:Remove the checkmark from the checkbox labeled Hide protected operating system files.
  • Step 8:Press the Apply button and then the OK button.
